How Much Food Do I Make For Thanksgiving?
Personally, I’m a huge fan of Thanksgiving leftovers so I generally make more food than I think we’ll need. For my family of 6, plus a few friends, I prepare 2 salads and 4 side dishes. That being said, there’s no perfect answer for how much food to make on holidays.
The amount of side dishes that you prepare depends entirely on the preferences of your guests and the number on people you’re hosting. A good rule of thumb for serving sizes is to prepare about 1 to 1-1/2 cups of food per person.
